I got a call from Strauss Bakery that they wanted to donate delicious baked goods to our heroes on the front lines.
I drove to Boro Park this evening with KG2 and met the team of Strauss Bakery at there commissary to load up my car and head to NYC to show our appreciation to our Health Care Heroes.
I was sent a persons name and number in various WhatsApp groups that was looking for Kosher food for her family members working on the front lines. After many calls I had them taken care of and we pulled up to The Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC and dropped off the delicious baked goods for the Emergency Room staff good enjoy.
My night didn’t stop there! One of the nurses earlier told me her sister is a nurse at NYU Langone Health and could really use some kosher food and goodies as well. So we called her, she just started her shift and we exchanged information and off I went with KG2 to the emergency room there to bring them much needed kosher food.
We pulled up in-front of the emergency room and saw an entire team of their EMS workers so we started by giving them goodies and then Rachel and her friend appeared to take all the goodies to our health care heroes on the front lines helping so many in need. These are true heroes.
All this was made possible by the generous donation from Strauss Bakery. Thank you so much for making this happen!
